Grandeur on the catwalk
The colour story was rich, starting with rose, purple, sea blue moving on to burgundy, chocolate, orange and green, ending with brown, midnight blue and black. BT spotted a nice half saree look and a broad kamarbandh for men. The designs had a splash of embroidery ranging from Marodi, Aari, zardozi, to chikan work to 17th century gota. Rich brocades, silks, georgettes, velvet and hand-woven silks came alive. Detailing gave an interesting touch to the collection with hand made fabric buttons, embroidered motifs and multi-coloured piping. Bling was present, with a lavish sprinkling of sequins on ornate velvet lehengas, shimmering dupattas, dhoti tunics, gorgeous sarees, swirling paneled kurtas and stately sherwanis which will appeal to buyers of festive wear. For lovers of nostalgic fashion Shyamal and Bhumika's regal line will be the ideal choice for opulent occasion wear.
