Peacocks in the Press of UK
Peacocks take 24th place in Which magazine's top 100 rated retailers today, as the company enjoy another day of strong coverage across leading magazines and newspapers. Kate Middleton's style gets another round of attention in Womenswear Buyer magazine, which discusses the rumours that Peacocks may be introducing a replica of her wedding dress. The brand also receive hits online and in the regional press with the rise in men's shorts sales mentioned on top fashion blog Girliegosip and The Western Mail recommending Peacocks denims for anyone looking for a great bargain on jeans.
Which magazine revealed the results of their Top of the Shops poll today, with Peacocks proudly taking 24th place ahead of Primark, New Look and Asda. The survey asked more than 14,000 shoppers for their views on high street stores to find the top 100 shops in the UK.
In the trade press, Womenswear Buyer magazine got back into the Royal Wedding spirit while reporting that Peacocks could be producing a high street version of Kate Middleton's wedding dress.
Peacocks fashion was also picked up on the Girliegossip website, which featured a menswear news story from the company highlighting the increase in sales of shorts, saying:"Mens floral shorts at Peacocks' Essex stores in Brentwood and Romford have experienced the highest rise in sales, currently up by (a far from skimpy) 450 per cent on the year."
